Open invitation to all residents to participate in Forming Fennimore’s Future

At 6:30 PM on April 1st, 2009 there will be a city-wide meeting at the memorial building. The purpose of the meeting is to solicit feedback from the community on what  residents  feel are important  short term and long term goals for community improvement .  With the reconstruction of Main Street behind us, we now have an opportunity to focus our resources as a community on continuing to create the things that are important to you and those you care about.

In the past, Fennimore has had great success when residents have worked together to make improvements in our community.  Some examples that come to mind are bringing a pharmacy back to town (after being without one for some time), the Fennimore Fun Fest, rebuilding Marsden Park, and most recently the future growth at Southwest Tech.  There are many more examples, but even these few items prove that things can and do get accomplished when members of a community get together!

Please join us on April 1st and let us know what you would like to see happen in Fennimore. There will be local business people, representatives from the school district, non-profit organizations, and members of city government in attendance, so if you have anything on your mind this will be a great forum to let your voice be heard. Be the person that has a voice in Fennimore’s future and not the person that sits back and regrets about what did or didn’t get done. If you can not make the meeting please check for updates and ways to give feedback at Fennimore.com.

As a group we are looking forward to seeing a lot of involvement and feedback from our residents and as a resident myself I look forward to participating in moving Fennimore forward.

Best regards,

Pete Adam
